Getting Started with Web Clipper

New feature allows you to save, read, and share articles and web pages directly to your Glose for Education account.

At Glose, we innovate and expand our core platform all the time to make it even more fun, engaging, and easy for teachers and students to read content together.

Educators often scour the web looking for supplemental articles and resources to deepen their class discussions and reinforce learning concepts. The practice of sharing a link (URL) is not ideal; students can become distracted by sidebar advertisements and the ability to navigate off the web page.

With Glose Web Clipper, you can now leverage the powerful technology of Glose to turn any article or web page you find into an e-pub that you can easily share with your classroom, annotate as a group, and engage with the content! We eliminate distractions by pulling in only the body of the article so your class can focus on the content most important to your lesson.

See the steps below to enable Web Clipper on your device.

How it works:

Desktop

1| Download our “Glose Education Upload Article” extension. It is available on the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.

2| The extension will be displayed in the top right corner. Navigate to a web page that you want to save.Click on the Glose Education Upload Article extension and log in with your Glose Education login details.

3| Click on “Upload this page”.

4| Once your item has been uploaded you will find it in the”Uploaded Articles” shelf in the book tab of your Glose for Education account.

5| Click on ‘Read’ to open up the options to mark as Want to Read, Currently Reading, Already Read and Add to Classroom.

When you click Add to Classroom, a list of all of your classrooms will appear. Put a checkmark next to any classes that should have the content. Once you add the article to a classroom, all students and teachers in that classroom will have access to not only read but annotate in the margins (highlight, comment, and react).

In just a few simple steps, you can start reading web content with your classroom and enjoy the same Glose for Education engagement features.
